Solar Alps ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through solaralps.co.nz, how we use it, and your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
When you send us an enquiry through our contact form, we collect the details you provide:
- your name, email address and phone number
- your address, so we can assess your property
- any comments you include in your message
When you visit our website, Google Analytics and Google Ads also collect information about your visit, such as the pages you view, how you arrived at our site, your approximate location and the type of device and browser you use. This information does not identify you by name.
How we use it
- to respond to your enquiry, arrange an assessment and prepare a quote
- to provide and support the solar services you choose to buy from us
- to understand how people use our website and how well our advertising works
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use it for anything unrelated to your enquiry.
How we store and share it
Contact form submissions are stored securely on our website's server and emailed to our team. We use trusted service providers to run our business, including our website hosting provider and Google (for email, analytics and advertising). Some of these providers store information outside New Zealand; we only use providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to New Zealand law.
We keep your information only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and provide our services, or as required by law, and then delete it.
Cookies and advertising
Our website uses cookies from Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure visits and the results of our ads, for example whether someone who clicked an ad later contacted us. You can block cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and manage the ads Google shows you at My Ad Center.
Your rights
